AltTab

AltTab brings the Windows‑style Alt‑Tab window switching experience to macOS. It lets users cycle through open windows, then or close them, toggle fullscreen, hide or quit applications, all from a customizable shortcut. The interface can adopt one of three visual styles and be further tweaked, while users can blacklist specific apps from appearing in the switcher.

The tool works on macOS 10.12 and newer, including Apple Silicon, and offers a settings window for changing shortcut keys, applying a Windows theme, and adjusting appearance for light or dark mode. Localization covers dozens of languages, and accessibility features such as VoiceOver and sticky keys are supported.

AltTab runs with minimal resource impact, avoiding telemetry and only contacting the network when necessary for updates. A command‑line interface provides JSON listings of windows and allows programmatic focus changes, requiring the app to be running to track window state.
