Altair GraphQL Client

Altair provides an integrated development environment for interacting with GraphQL APIs. It lets users connect to any authorized GraphQL server, switch between defined environments such as local, staging, or production, and automatically refresh the schema when it changes via the GraphQL Event Stream specification. The editor supports advanced schema documentation search, file uploads following the multipart request specification, and generation of queries or fragments directly from the schema.

The client includes facilities for pre‑request scripting to set dynamic variables, and it can import and export collections of queries for sharing within a team. It also offers multilingual interfaces and an extensive plugin system that allows developers to extend its core functionality.

Available for macOS, Linux, and Windows, Altair can be installed through standard package managers such as Homebrew, Snap, Chocolatey, or browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. The project is maintained as a stable, community‑driven open‑source tool.
