Artwalls

Artwalls is a platform that links local artists with nearby venues such as cafés, turning unused wall space into miniature galleries. Venues register their walls by providing dimensions, photos, and a description of the vibe, while artists create profiles, upload portfolios, and apply to display their work at selected locations. Once an artwork is hung, a QR code is placed nearby; guests who scan the code are taken to a Stripe checkout where they can purchase the piece on the spot.

The service handles the transaction flow and revenue split transparently. Artists retain between 60 % and 85 % of each sale, venues receive a flat 15 % commission, and the platform charges at most 2 % on paid plans. Registration is free for venues, and the system publishes the exact split for every $100 sale.

Designed for creators and small businesses seeking a low‑cost, physical outlet for art, Artwalls aims to address the difficulty artists face in finding affordable exhibition space while giving venues a way to monetize otherwise blank walls. The project is currently experimental and has launched in San Diego, with plans to expand to additional cities.
