ATAC
A feature-full TUI API client made in Rust.
ATAC provides a terminal‑based interface for constructing and sending HTTP requests, offering functionality similar to graphical tools such as Postman or Insomnia but operating entirely within a command‑line environment. It supports typical API client features—request composition, header and body editing, and response inspection—while remaining free, account‑less, and usable offline. The application is written in Rust and distributes as a compiled binary, a Cargo package, and through various system package managers, with a Docker image also available.
The tool targets developers and system administrators who prefer working in a terminal, need quick access to API testing without a GUI, or operate on headless machines. Integration points include Vim and NeoVim key‑bindings and theme support, allowing seamless incorporation into existing text‑editor workflows.
Distinctive aspects include its pure‑TUI design, cross‑platform installation options (Homebrew, Scoop, Arch, Fedora, Docker), and a focus on minimal dependencies and small binary size. The project is released under the MIT license and is marked as stable.
