Atlas of a Life

The platform presents an interactive globe that lets users explore the lives of notable historical figures across a wide range of fields such as science, arts, leadership, philosophy, literature, technology, exploration, revolution, music, entertainment, and sport. Users can search for a specific individual, start a “journey” through a timeline that spans from 600 BC to 2020, and listen to or read narratives that describe each person’s contributions and the eras they influenced. The interface offers story paths that trace how ideas, people, and movements shaped human civilization, with visual cues like “The Imprint” and “Follow this thread” to highlight connections between lives and broader historical contexts.

Designed for educational purposes, the tool is suited to students, teachers, and anyone interested in a contextual, visual exploration of history. Its multilingual support includes English and Slovak, and the UI provides controls for navigating epochs, filtering by category, and accessing detailed profiles. The experimental nature of the project means features such as hologram displays and extended journeys are indicated as “coming soon,” reflecting ongoing development.
