Chatbox provides a desktop interface for interacting with OpenAI’s GPT‑4 and GPT‑3.5 models via the OpenAI API. It runs on macOS and offers a range of assistant‑style features, including the ability to upload documents, images, and code files for contextual responses. The application also supports LaTeX and Markdown rendering, enabling clear presentation of formulas and formatted text.

In addition to conversational capabilities, the software includes tools for code generation, preview, syntax highlighting, review, refactoring, debugging, and security checks. Users can invoke real‑time web search to retrieve current information, summarize URLs, and perform fact‑checking within the chat flow. Visual insights are offered through AI‑generated charts that can be customized on the fly.
