Crypter

Crypter is a cross‑platform encryption utility that lets users encrypt and decrypt arbitrary files and folders while relying on a single secret, the MasterPass. The application generates strong passwords automatically, reducing the need for users to remember multiple weak credentials. It stores encrypted data in its own CRYPTO format and supports reusing the same MasterPass across machines for portable encryption.

The tool is available for macOS, Linux (via AppImage), and Windows, with core modules fully tested on each platform. Future releases aim to integrate the MasterPass with the operating system’s keychain, allowing seamless access without repeated entry.
