CTFreak is a self‑hosted scheduler that centralises the execution of shell commands, scripts, SQL queries, HTTP requests and Ansible playbooks. It supports remote execution over SSH or WinRM, allowing tasks to run on multiple Unix or Windows nodes, and can chain tasks into sequential or concurrent workflows. The platform records logs, offers a REST API and accepts incoming webhooks, facilitating integration with existing automation pipelines.

The web interface is designed for low bandwidth and mobile use, presenting a simple, client‑side rendered UI that works on phones and tablets. Users can configure notifications through email, Slack, Teams, Discord, Mattermost, Telegram and other services, and link issue‑tracking systems such as GitHub, GitLab, Jira and Linear for alerting and ticket creation.
