Cypht

Cypht aggregates email from multiple accounts into a single, news‑reader‑style interface. It connects to IMAP, SMTP, JMAP and EWS servers, allowing users to view combined inboxes, unread, sent and flagged messages, as well as RSS feeds, while still supporting standard folder navigation and outbound messaging. The client can compose messages in plain text, HTML or Markdown, and offers server‑side Sieve filtering for offline organization.

The application is built on a modular plugin architecture, referred to as module sets, which can be added or customized without altering the core code. Modules cover a range of functions including contact management via LDAP or local databases, integration with WordPress and GitHub, and various authentication methods such as IMAP, LDAP, auto‑discovery and user‑defined schemes. Sessions and user data may be stored in any PDO‑compatible database or flat files.

Cypht is an open‑source, self‑hostable solution released under LGPL‑2.1, written in PHP and JavaScript. It targets individuals, schools, ISPs and businesses seeking a lightweight webmail client that can be extended through plugins while remaining free of subscription fees.
