The mandate is a cryptographic credential that specifies the amount, counter, and allowed merchants, and it can be revoked or set to expire automatically.

When an agent needs to pay, it presents the mandate to Delegare, which validates the limits atomically and processes the transaction through Stripe for fiat or Base for USDC. The system guarantees that the agent cannot exceed the approved amount, that card numbers or private keys are never exposed, and that mandates are bound to specific merchants, preventing misuse.

Merchants integrate with a few lines of code, after which Delegare handles authentication, validation, and settlement, delivering instant payment and an immutable receipt. The platform is built on strict cryptographic boundaries and server‑side counters to ensure trust and prevent rogue spending.
