Doughnut

Doughnut is a macOS‑only podcast client that follows Apple’s design language while offering its own streamlined user experience. It is written in Swift, distributed under GPLv3, and runs on macOS 10.15 or newer, with the latest macOS version recommended for optimal performance.

The application lets users browse, search, and play episodes from subscribed feeds, as well as add custom podcasts that do not provide an RSS feed. Its library can be stored locally, on a network location, or split into multiple libraries on the same machine, giving flexibility in how content is organized.

Because it is fully open source and free‑tier, developers and power users can inspect, modify, or contribute to the codebase. The native macOS interface aims to provide a fast and intuitive listening experience without unnecessary clutter.
