duf
A better `df` alternative.
The tool provides a terminal‑based view of disk usage and free space across Linux, BSD, macOS, and Windows systems. It presents information in a colorful, table‑styled layout that adapts to the terminal’s theme and width, and can also output the data as JSON for programmatic consumption. Users can filter and group devices, hide or show specific mount points or filesystem types, and sort the results by various attributes such as size, usage, or inode counts.
Command‑line options allow fine‑grained control over displayed columns, threshold‑based color coding, and the selection of either block‑level or inode‑level statistics. The utility supports wildcard patterns for filtering and offers preset themes, with the ability to define custom availability and usage thresholds. Installation is available through package managers on many platforms, and the binary can be built from source with Go 1.23 or newer.
