The software enables researchers to conduct longitudinal experience‑sampling studies, such as ESM, AA, and EMA, while keeping all participant communication and data collection fully anonymous. Study administrators can set up surveys, schedule prompts, and manage participant interactions through a web‑based server, and participants use dedicated Android or iOS apps to receive prompts and submit responses.
It is designed for self‑hosting on any web server with PHP, requiring minimal technical expertise to install and run. The platform is free, open‑source under AGPL‑3.0, and does not rely on subscription services, allowing institutions to maintain control over their data and infrastructure.
The project is maintained by a university research group, offers multilingual support, and provides documentation, a demo instance, and community discussion channels for troubleshooting and contribution.
