ezBookkeeping provides a self‑hosted personal finance system that lets users record daily transactions, attach images and locations, and schedule recurring entries. It includes built‑in charts and a query interface for analyzing spending patterns, and supports import and export of many common financial formats such as CSV, OFX, QFX, QIF, MT940 and data from other bookkeeping tools.
The application runs in a Docker container and works with SQLite, MySQL or PostgreSQL, making installation straightforward on devices ranging from Raspberry Pi to NAS and micro‑servers. Its web UI adapts to desktop and mobile screens, offers a progressive‑web‑app mode for native‑like use, and includes dark mode.
Security features include two‑factor authentication, external OIDC login, rate limiting and optional PIN or WebAuthn lock. International users benefit from multi‑language, multi‑currency and multi‑timezone support, while AI‑related extensions enable receipt image recognition and programmable integrations.
