Fabric CLI
Make notes, tasks, and search, directly from the terminal.
Fabric CLI provides command‑line access to the Fabric AI workspace, allowing users to search, create, and retrieve notes, tasks, files, images and links without leaving the shell. It offers commands such as `/search` to query the library, `/ask` to interact with the Fabric AI agent, and `/create` to add new items, all within an interactive terminal session that supports tab‑completion and navigation shortcuts.
The tool targets developers, researchers, designers and teams who spend most of their time in a terminal and want to avoid context‑switching when capturing ideas or locating resources. By integrating the personal AI that knows a user’s projects and files, the CLI enables quick retrieval—claimed to be on the order of 200 ms—and lets the AI agent maintain memory of past interactions.
Fabric CLI is distributed as a shell script installer and is currently in an experimental maturity stage, with version 0.2.14 offering the core set of commands for searching, asking, viewing paths, creating items, and managing sessions.
