FishMap is a free mobile application focused on fishing in Sweden. It allows users to record details of each catch, including location and species, and stores this information in a personal log. The app also aggregates catch data from the community to generate a heatmap that highlights popular fishing spots across the country.
In addition to logging, FishMap provides a leaderboard that ranks anglers based on their recorded catches, enabling users to compare their performance with others worldwide. The platform supports a multilingual interface and offers a dark‑mode theme for easier viewing.
The service is currently in an experimental stage, targeting recreational anglers who want to track their outings, discover productive locations, and engage in friendly competition with fellow fishers.
