Gameyfin
Video game library manager with automatic scanning, web access, downloads, and plugin support.
Gameyfin turns a scattered collection of video games into a searchable, web‑accessible library. It automatically scans designated folders, retrieves metadata and cover art, and presents the results through a clean browser interface that works on any device. Users can download game files directly from the UI, share the library with friends or family, and browse locally cached content for fast LAN access.
The application runs on a JVM and can be deployed in a container or on any system that supports Java. It stores data in an embedded H2 database and leverages Spring Boot for the backend and Vaadin Hilla with React for the frontend. A plugin architecture based on PF4J allows extensions, and authentication can be integrated via OAuth2 or OpenID Connect.
All code is released under the AGPL‑3.0 license, making the project completely free and open source without subscription fees or paywalls. It is positioned as a simple, fast, and community‑driven solution for managing legally owned video game collections.
