HA Menu

Menu Bar app to perform common Home Assistant functions

Source

A macOS menu‑bar utility that connects to a Home Assistant instance and exposes common controls directly from the menu bar. It can toggle switches, lights, automations, and input booleans; activate scenes, scripts, buttons, and input buttons; select options for input selects; open and close covers; and display sensor values for entities placed in a Home Assistant group.

The app works with Home Assistant servers reachable via local IP, external address, or Nabu Casa URL, using a long‑lived access token for authentication. Users configure which domains or custom groups appear in the menu, reorder items, and optionally nest groups as submenus. Sensor entries are shown with their friendly name, state, and unit, but are read‑only.

Installation is available through a manual zip download or via Homebrew Cask, supporting macOS 11.5 (Big Sur) and later. The software is stable and released under an open‑source license.
