HortusFox
Collaborative plant management and tracking system for plant enthusiasts.
The application provides a self‑hosted platform for tracking and caring for plants in a personal environment. Users can record plant details, attach photos, and assign each specimen to custom locations, while a dashboard aggregates key information. A warning system highlights plants that need special attention, and the system includes authentication, task lists, inventory tracking, calendar events, searchable records, and a history log of user actions.
Collaboration is supported through multi‑user access, group chat, and an admin dashboard that manages profiles, themes, reminders, and backups. Additional utilities such as weather forecasts, plant identification, and a REST API enable integration with external tools and automated workflows.
The software is built with PHP and MariaDB, distributed under the MIT license, and can be deployed via Docker, Docker Compose, or manual installation. It is free to use, has no subscription requirement, and is maintained as an open‑source project.
