IINA+

IINA+ is a lightweight macOS utility that adds danmaku (real‑time scrolling comments) support to the IINA media player. It connects to a variety of streaming services—including Bilibili, Bangumi, Douyin, Douyu, Huya, and Bilibili Live—to fetch and overlay live comment streams while video is playing. The application also handles live video decoding for those platforms, allowing synchronized playback of both video and comment data.

The tool is aimed at users who watch live or recorded streams on macOS and want the interactive comment experience typical of East Asian video platforms. By integrating directly with IINA, it lets viewers see danmaku without leaving the player, preserving the original viewing workflow.

IINA+ is built with Swift and relies on several open‑source libraries for networking, image handling, and comment rendering. It is distributed as a stable macOS binary, with source code available for building via Xcode, and includes an auto‑update mechanism through Sparkle.
