The system provides a web‑based interface for organizing parts, tracking suppliers, and monitoring stock levels across hierarchical locations. Users can view real‑time inventory, serialize individual items, and attach test results, while a build manager consumes stock to produce new parts based on configurable Bill‑of‑Material definitions. Reporting tools generate custom templates, and data can be imported or exported in various formats.

A Python/Django backend stores information in a relational database and exposes a RESTful API together with a native Python library, enabling integration with external tools or custom applications. An extensible plugin architecture allows additional functionality such as label printing, notifications, or currency exchange to be added without modifying the core code.
