It provides a web‑based Kanban board where tasks can be created, organized into columns, and moved by drag‑and‑drop. Users can limit work‑in‑progress per column, add subtasks, attachments, comments, and use Markdown for descriptions. A simple query language lets you filter and search tasks by assignee, due date, category and other fields, while automatic actions can change properties such as assignee or color in response to events.

The interface is intentionally minimal, avoiding complex UI elements, which makes the board easy to understand without training. It supports multiple authentication backends, including LDAP/Active Directory and OAuth2 providers, and is available in more than thirty languages.

The software is self‑hostable, released under the MIT license, and is maintained in a stable, maintenance‑mode state with community contributions handling minor fixes and updates.
