Keypad Layout
Utility to control window layout using the Ctrl key and the numeric keypad
Keypad Layout lets macOS users resize and position windows by holding the Control key and pressing two keys on the numeric keypad in succession. The two‑key sequence maps to a cell in a 3 × 3 grid, and the application moves the active window to the corresponding frame, such as full screen, top row, bottom half, or left half at full height. The tool works from the menu bar and responds instantly to the key combinations, providing a keyboard‑centric way to arrange windows without mouse interaction.
The utility is distributed as a Homebrew package and also as pre‑compiled binaries on the project's release page, making installation straightforward for most Mac users. It is designed for stable macOS environments and requires only a standard keyboard with a numeric keypad or the equivalent keys on a MacBook.
A reference grid is included in the documentation to help users locate the appropriate keypad numbers for each layout, and the application’s icons are sourced from a Creative Commons‑licensed design.
