LibreWolf
Web browser
LibreWolf is a Firefox‑based web browser that replaces the upstream configuration with privacy‑ and and security‑focused settings and patches. It disables telemetry, data collection and DRM‑related features, and applies hardening measures to reduce tracking and fingerprinting while keeping the browsing experience usable. The browser ships with a built‑in content blocker (uBlock Origin) and defaults to privacy‑oriented search providers such as DuckDuckGo, Searx and Qwant.
The project targets users who prioritize personal privacy and freedom when browsing the web, especially those who prefer an open‑source, community‑driven alternative to mainstream browsers. It is available for multiple platforms, including macOS, Windows, Linux distributions and OpenBSD, and follows the latest stable Firefox release to provide up‑to‑date security fixes and features.
Development is coordinated on Codeberg and discussed in public Matrix rooms, with contributions welcomed via merge requests, bug reports and feature requests. The code base and documentation are openly licensed, allowing anyone to inspect, modify or redistribute the browser.
