LiteEdit is a native macOS code editor built with Swift and AppKit, designed for quick opening, browsing, and editing of source files. The application stays under 1 MB in size, launches instantly, and runs on macOS 13 or later without relying on Electron or web‑view components. It can be installed via a DMG installer, Homebrew Cask, or built from source using Xcode command‑line tools.

The editor supports syntax highlighting for more than twenty programming languages, viewport‑based lazy rendering for large files, and standard editing features such as multi‑cursor selection, tabbed documents, fuzzy file search, and regex‑enabled find‑and‑replace.
