MacDroid
Connect to your Android devices
MacDroid provides a lightweight way to link Android phones or tablets with a macOS computer, supporting both wired USB connections and wireless Wi‑Fi transfers. After enabling developer options and USB debugging on the Android device, users can add the device in the app, choose a connection mode such as ADB or MTP, and then access the Android storage directly from the macOS Finder. The software mounts the Android device as a disk, allowing users to copy, move, or edit files without needing intermediate steps.
The tool works with any Android or MTP‑compatible device and handles internal as well as external storage, making it suitable for transferring a wide range of file types, including videos, photos, and music. By offering both ADB for faster transfers and MTP for broader compatibility, it accommodates different user preferences and device capabilities.
MacDroid runs on standard macOS installations, including Apple silicon, and is positioned as a stable, production‑ready solution for users who need to manage Android files from their Mac environment.
