Medis provides a graphical interface for interacting with Redis databases on macOS. It supports the full range of native Redis data types—including strings, lists, hashes, sets, sorted sets, and streams—as well as third‑party modules such as RedisJSON, allowing users to view and edit keys through a visual tree view that can be customized to fit personal organization preferences.

The application includes a command query pane with syntax highlighting and autocomplete, enabling arbitrary Redis commands to be entered efficiently. High‑performance handling lets it work with databases containing millions of keys without blocking, and an optional alert mode requires explicit confirmation for any writable operation, helping to protect production environments from accidental changes.

Additional features cover automatic detection of common data encodings, secure connections via SSH tunnels or SSL, and a dark mode theme. Medis is distributed as open‑source software, is stable and mature, and can be installed on macOS 12.0+ through standard package managers.
