Monal

Monal is an XMPP instant‑messaging client built for macOS and iOS. It connects to XMPP servers using the standard protocol, allowing users to exchange messages with addresses in the form [email protected]. The client supports multiple accounts, enabling communication across different services while remaining within the decentralized XMPP ecosystem.

The application implements various XMPP Extension Protocols (XEPs) to provide modern messaging features on top of the core XMPP specifications. It offers a native user interface that follows the conventions of iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, giving a consistent experience across Apple devices.
