Neko
Virtual browser that runs in docker and uses WebRTC.
Neko runs a full‑featured web browser inside a Docker container and streams the desktop to users via WebRTC, delivering a virtual browsing environment that can be accessed from any device. The container isolates the browser, keeping cookies and session data private while allowing the host to retain the session persistently, so long‑running tasks continue even when the client disconnects.
The system supports multiple participants who can view the same browser instance and request control, making it useful for collaborative debugging, interactive presentations, support sessions, and watch parties. Hosts can also broadcast the session to external platforms through RTMP, enabling live streams that continue regardless of participant presence.
Because it is self‑hosted, open‑source under the Apache‑2.0 license, and requires no subscription, Neko is suited for developers, privacy‑focused users, and teams that need a secure, low‑latency virtual browser that can be shared, automated, or embedded in other applications.
