No-IP DUC
Keeps current IP address in sync
The Dynamic Update Client (DUC) for macOS runs in the background and monitors the computer’s public IP address. When a change is detected, it automatically sends an update to No‑IP so that the associated hostnames or domains reflect the new address without user intervention. The client stores a unique key instead of repeatedly transmitting the account password, providing secure key‑based updates.
Users can view and label each installed client instance, allowing them to identify locations such as “home” or “work.” The interface also lets users add new hostnames directly from the application and select which existing hostnames should be kept in sync. The software launches on user login and checks for IP changes each session, ensuring that DNS records stay current.
The macOS version supports OS X 10.10 Yosemite and newer, with legacy installers available for earlier releases. Updates are delivered automatically, and the client integrates with No‑IP’s support channels for assistance.
