Offen
Fair, lightweight and open web analytics tool. Gain insights while your users have full access to their data.
Offen Fair Web Analytics provides a self‑hosted solution for tracking website usage while keeping all collected data encrypted end‑to‑end. The system records only minimal information after an explicit opt‑in, stores it for six months, and never captures IP addresses or user‑agent strings. Operators install a single binary or Docker image, add a JavaScript snippet to the pages they wish to monitor, and can view aggregated metrics such as unique users, sessions, top pages, and referral data through a web interface.
The platform is designed for privacy‑conscious site owners who need GDPR‑compliant analytics without third‑party services or advertising. Users are informed of the data collection, can review their own activity with detailed explanations, and may delete or opt out of tracking at any time. Data is kept in SQLite or a chosen database, and SSL certificates can be managed automatically.
Offen is open source under the Apache‑2.0 license, free of subscription fees, and supports multiple sites and team sharing within a single installation. Documentation covers deployment, customization, and localization in several languages.
