Offset Explorer

Offset Explorer is a graphical user interface for interacting with Apache Kafka clusters. It lets users browse cluster objects such as brokers, topics, and consumers, and inspect the contents of messages stored in topic partitions. The application supports viewing messages in JSON, XML, and Avro formats with pretty‑printing, and it allows new messages to be added to partitions.

The tool is geared toward both developers and administrators, offering functions like monitoring consumer offsets—including those used by Apache Storm and Kafka spout consumers—creating and deleting topics, and saving individual messages to the local file system.
