Orka Desktop
Run macOS virtual machines locally and build images for use with Orka
Orka Desktop provides a graphical interface for creating, configuring, and managing macOS virtual machines on a local Mac. It allows users to build VMs, update them with new operating system versions or custom software, and export the resulting environments as OCI‑compatible images. These images can be pushed to a registry and later pulled by other users, enabling straightforward sharing of reproducible macOS setups.
The tool is aimed at iOS and macOS developers, testers, support engineers, IT administrators, and DevOps professionals who need isolated macOS instances for development, debugging, or testing. By supporting OCI images, it facilitates a workflow that moves from local virtualization to cloud deployment, and it can be used to evaluate new OS releases, test MDM profiles, or validate CI pipeline images before production rollout.
Orka Desktop is distributed as a macOS .dmg package, with installation instructions and a detailed getting‑started guide hosted on the vendor’s support site. Community interaction is encouraged through GitHub Discussions for feedback and Issues for bug reports or feature requests.
