osx-wifi-cli
Manage wifi connections.
osx-wifi-cli is a command‑line utility that lets macOS users query and control their Wi‑Fi interfaces from a terminal. It can display the name of the currently connected network, detailed information about that network, and the stored password. The tool also lists nearby access points, and provides commands to enable, disable, or restart the Wi‑Fi hardware.
Connection management is performed by supplying a network SSID and password, with a special case for networks that have no password. The package is distributed via npm and can be installed globally, making the commands available system‑wide. Users often create a short alias in their shell configuration for quicker access.
The project is maintained on GitHub, includes automated build status badges, and follows standard open‑source licensing. It is marked as stable and intended for developers or power users who need scriptable Wi‑Fi control on macOS.
