The application adds a Quick Look extension to macOS that renders Markdown files directly in the Finder preview pane, supporting a range of related formats such as RMarkdown, MDX, Quarto, Api Blueprint and textbundle packages. It also provides an experimental Shortcut command and a command‑line tool for converting Markdown to HTML, along with a graphical interface for adjusting preview settings, themes, and rendering options.

It is built on the cmark‑gfm library, extending it with features like emoji shortcode conversion, heading anchors, text highlighting, inline local images, subscript, superscript, mathematical expressions, Mermaid diagrams, and syntax highlighting. These extensions enable richer previews without requiring a full editor.

The software is distributed as a signed, notarized macOS app, installable via direct download or Homebrew cask. After a one‑time launch, the Quick Look extension becomes available in System Preferences, and the app can be removed by dragging it to the trash and deleting its support folder.
