Resend CLI 2.0

The CLI provides full access to the Resend API directly from the terminal, allowing users to send emails, manage automations, listen for webhooks, and interact with AI agents without leaving the command line. It supports sending messages using local React Email components ( .tsx or .jsx) as well as traditional HTML files, and it can create, trigger, and inspect automation workflows and event schemas.

Developers can run a single command to start a local webhook listener that automatically creates a tunnel and forwards all event types to a local server, simplifying testing of event‑driven features. The tool also includes “Skills” for AI agents, giving them a defined interface to sign up for accounts, receive and process emails, and respond to users while following best practices and minimizing unnecessary API calls.

Additional capabilities include programmatic log retrieval for debugging, secure storage of API keys in the system keychain, and a unified set of over fifty commands covering the entire Resend API. The CLI is intended for humans, AI agents, and CI/CD pipelines, and is currently in an experimental maturity stage.
