SampleStack

SampleStack is a native macOS application that helps musicians prepare audio files for Eurorack modules and hardware samplers. It imports a user’s existing sample library, automatically checks each file against the technical specifications of supported instruments, and highlights any mismatches. The app can batch‑convert sample rate, bit depth, channel count, and file naming to meet the exact requirements of devices such as Morphagene, Squid Salmple, Digitakt, Octatrack, Blackbox and more than thirty additional models.

The workflow includes built‑in audio editing tools that allow non‑destructive preview, waveform zoom, splice marker placement, transient detection, fades, splitting and cropping. Users can tag, rate, and search samples, then drag selected files directly into module‑specific collections. Validation results are shown with color‑coded badges, making it clear which samples are ready, need conversion, or have other issues.

When the library is prepared, SampleStack exports the files to an SD card or other storage media with the correct folder structure and format for the target hardware. The app runs locally on macOS 15+, works offline, and is positioned for experimental use by musicians who need to streamline sample management for a wide range of hardware samplers.
