SAMURAI - Network Analyzer

SAMURAI provides a unified dashboard for managing and monitoring a heterogeneous network environment. It integrates devices such as Cisco APIC, FMC, NDO, Palo Alto firewalls, routers, and switches, allowing users to discover endpoints, trace traffic paths, and detect configuration changes from a single interface.

The platform correlates MAC, IP, ARP, DHCP, CDP/LLDP, 802.1X, and APIC data across all connected devices, offering cross‑device endpoint discovery with OUI vendor lookup and field‑scoped search. Traffic path simulation performs hop‑by‑hop packet tracing, evaluates ACL rules against 5‑tuple traffic, and supports bidirectional analysis across multiple vendor technologies. Change detection uses SHA‑256 hash‑based deduplication to store only meaningful configuration differences, maintaining configurable snapshot histories for auditing and forensic queries.

All API calls are served from a MongoDB cache, delivering sub‑second response times while background synchronization keeps data current and pushes real‑time updates via WebSocket. Optional live queries can bypass the cache, and the system automatically recovers stale device connections. Deployment is positioned as a rapid, five‑minute process for experimental use.
