Sauce Connect
Proxy server to securely connect to the Sauce Labs automated testing platform
Sauce Connect 5 creates an encrypted HTTP/2 tunnel between a local or firewall‑protected environment and the Sauce Labs testing infrastructure, allowing automated tests to reach applications that are not publicly reachable. It supports locally hosted web apps, staging sites behind firewalls, and environments restricted by IP allowlists.
The client is lightweight and optimized for speed and low resource consumption, offering faster tunnel startup, reduced CPU and memory usage, and better scalability for high‑concurrency workloads. It provides real‑time observability through Prometheus‑compatible metrics and pre‑built Grafana dashboards, giving users insight into tunnel health and usage.
Installation is available via multiple package formats, including Homebrew for macOS, Winget for Windows, and deb/rpm packages for Linux, as well as direct binaries for x86_64 and arm64. Advanced proxy features include TLS‑resigned Secure WebSocket support, SOCKS5 upstream proxy handling, and PAC file routing, while migration documentation assists users moving from Sauce Connect 4.
