Sci-Hub EVA
Cross-platform Sci-Hub GUI application powered by Python and Qt
Sci‑Hub EVA provides a graphical interface for accessing Sci‑Hub services on macOS, Windows, and Linux. Users can enter a URL, DOI, PMID, or title to retrieve a single paper, or specify range patterns such as `00.000/{1‑99}` to download a series of documents automatically. The application also accepts a text file containing multiple queries, loading each line as a separate request.
The program includes preferences for customizing the Sci‑Hub endpoint, handling captchas, and adjusting network parameters like timeout, retries, and proxy settings. Appearance can be switched between light, dark, or system‑matched themes, and language options cover English, several Chinese variants, and Portuguese. Filename formatting and overwrite behavior are configurable, with optional timestamp suffixes to prevent data loss.
Installation is offered via native packages: a DMG for macOS, a setup executable for Windows, and an AppImage for Linux, with additional support through Homebrew, Scoop, and other package managers. The software is written in Python and Qt, and is marked as stable for macOS.
