SCM Manager

SCM‑Manager provides a web‑based interface for hosting and administering Git, Mercurial and Subversion repositories. It can be installed on any platform without requiring an external web server, database or cache, and all configuration is performed through the UI rather than editing files. The system includes central user, group and permission management and a flexible authentication mechanism, allowing fine‑grained access control for each repository.

The application ships with out‑of‑the‑box support for the three version‑control systems and exposes a full Level 3 RESTful API in JSON and XML, enabling integration with custom tools and automation pipelines. A simple plugin API lets developers add functionality, and a collection of ready‑made plugins is available for common extensions.

Because it is self‑hostable, open‑source under the BSD‑3‑Clause license, and does not depend on additional infrastructure, SCM‑Manager is suited for teams that want a lightweight, configurable solution for sharing and managing source code repositories over HTTP.
