Usenapp
Newsreader and Usenet client
Usenapp is a native 64‑bit client for macOS that combines a newsreader, newsgroup browser, and NZB handling tools in a single application. It lets users browse threaded discussions, filter unwanted content, and download binaries at full speed, with optional bandwidth limiting and support for multiple primary and backup news servers.
The program includes Smart Folders that automatically route downloads to custom locations based on keywords, and it integrates with a wide range of NZB indexers such as Newznab and Spotweb. Users can search recent articles through the built‑in SuperSearch service or, for a fee, access the longer‑term MegaSearch database covering up to twelve years of Usenet history.
Full NZB file support is provided, allowing import via drag‑and‑drop or a watch folder, as well as export of NZB files. Auto‑repair and extraction features streamline post‑processing, and the client runs on both Apple silicon and Intel‑based Macs supporting macOS 10.11 or later.
