Multiplayer RPG. Open-source game inspired by Cube World, Legend of Zelda, Dwarf Fortress and Minecraft.
Veloren is an action‑adventure role‑playing game set in a large, procedurally generated fantasy world. Players can traverse diverse biomes such as mountains, deserts, jungles and underground cave systems, encountering monsters, bosses and NPCs while gathering resources. The game offers a variety of weapons and combat styles, crafting of equipment, taming of beasts as companions, and the ability to mine ore and gems.
Multiplayer support lets users join public servers or host their own over LAN, enabling cooperative exploration and shared adventures. The world is fully simulated as players move through it, with dynamic interactions and quests that evolve based on player actions.
The project is released under the GPL‑3.0 license, is self‑hostable, free to use, and does not require a subscription. Its source code is openly available for community contributions, and the developers provide regular updates on progress and new features.
