Fast Mode streams audio to a cloud service that returns transcribed, formatted text, while Local Mode performs the entire transcription on‑device, keeping the user’s voice data private and allowing offline use. The application supports real‑time detection, filler‑word removal, grammar correction, and a personal dictionary that learns new terms automatically.

In addition to plain dictation, Walkie offers voice‑driven commands and quick‑ask functionality. Users can open applications, launch URLs, query weather, news, or send emails entirely by speaking, and the system can respond aloud.
