Yaprflow

Yaprflow provides offline, real‑time voice‑to‑text dictation for macOS. Users invoke the app with a configurable hotkey, speak, and the transcribed text appears instantly, ready to be pasted into any document. The transcription runs entirely on the local machine, leveraging the Apple Neural Engine for low‑latency processing, and does not require an internet connection, account, or telemetry.

In addition to raw transcription, Yaprflow can apply on‑device AI to correct grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure, or generate a concise summary of the spoken content. These enhancements are optional and also performed locally, preserving privacy while delivering polished output.

The project is released under the Apache 2.0 license, allowing anyone to inspect, modify, and redistribute the code. It targets macOS 14+ and is positioned as a free, open‑source alternative for developers and users who need private, fast dictation without reliance on cloud services.
