The application provides a graphical interface for interacting with data stored in Zed lakes. Users can import files in supported formats by dragging them onto the welcome screen, then explore the contents through right‑click menus that offer simple filtering and “count by” operations. For more advanced analysis, the interface integrates the Zed query language, allowing custom queries and aggregations directly within the GUI.

It is targeted at individuals who need to examine and manage data residing in Zed lake structures without using command‑line tools. The built‑in Brimcap component handles pcap processing, generating Zeek and Suricata summary logs and supporting import and extraction workflows for network capture files.

The software runs on macOS and is released in a stable version, with an optional “Insiders” build that receives frequent updates and can operate alongside the regular release.
