ArKiwi

ArKiwi is a macOS‑only utility that creates and manages archives in its proprietary ARA (ArKiwi Resource Archive) format. The format stores files of any type and size in a binary container that can grow or shrink dynamically as items are added or removed, limited only by available disk space. Users can compress, extract, delete, and password‑protect contents, and the archive can be searched and printed as a file list.

The interface presents a table view of archived items with a toolbar for operations such as creating a new archive, opening an existing one, and managing a task queue for batch actions. Real‑time information displays the number of files, total data size, and lock status, while icons indicate whether the archive is editable or password‑protected.

ArKiwi supports both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, runs on macOS 10.10 or newer, and relies on standard ZIP compression (configurable in preferences). It is positioned as a fast, optimized archiver for users who need a flexible, binary‑based container for large or varied collections of files.
