Bar Assistant

Bar Assistant provides a self‑hosted, open‑source platform for tracking home‑bar inventory, organizing cocktail recipes, and generating custom menus. Users can add and manage multiple bars and members, record ingredient quantities, prices, and categories, and benefit from built‑in ABV calculations, unit conversion, and automatic cocktail price estimation. The API server, distributed as Docker images, supports fine‑grained user roles, SSO, and personal access tokens, while Meilisearch indexing enables fast filtering by tags, glass type, ratings, or ingredient availability.

The system includes over 500 detailed cocktail recipes and more than 250 base ingredients, with features such as ingredient substitutes, multi‑part ingredients, and optional components. Recipes can be imported from URLs, JSON, YAML, or CSV, and exported in various formats. Users can create personal collections, rate and annotate drinks, generate shopping lists for missing ingredients, and receive recommendations based on favorites and available stock.

Additional tools allow the creation of public cocktail menus with custom pricing, printable recipe images, and customizable calculators for liqueurs, juices, and syrups. The project is licensed under MIT, free to use, and intended for hobbyist bartenders and anyone wanting a dedicated cocktail‑focused management solution.
