CookCLI is a command‑line suite for working with Cooklang recipe files. It can parse recipes, generate organized shopping lists, produce custom reports, and manage pantry inventories with expiration tracking. The tool follows the UNIX philosophy, allowing its commands to be combined with other shell utilities and scripted for automated meal planning.
Users can define menu files that reference recipes and inline ingredients, then generate a combined shopping list for an entire week. A built‑in web server provides a browsable interface for recipes, making them accessible from any device on the network. The application is self‑hostable, runs on macOS, Linux, and other platforms via binary, Homebrew, or Cargo, and is released under the MIT license.
