Better Launchpad

Better Launchpad replaces the default macOS Launchpad with a faster, more flexible interface for locating and opening applications. It indexes installed apps and provides instant, millisecond‑level search results as the user types, allowing launches without mouse interaction. Keyboard navigation lets users move through results with arrow keys and confirm selections with Enter.

The launcher supports extensive customization of the grid layout. Users can drag and drop icons to reorder them, hide rarely used apps to reduce visual clutter, and replace default icons with personal images. These adjustments let individuals shape the launcher to match their workflow and aesthetic preferences. The software is localized into many popular languages, making it accessible to a broad audience.

Distributed as a free, ad‑free .dmg package, Better Launchpad runs on both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. Installation involves dragging the application into the system’s Applications folder. The project welcomes community contributions through its public issue tracker.
